Upon entering Panama City Beach, one is introduced to the area with the sign “Welcome to the Word’s Most Beautiful Beaches”. This is a fitting welcome when one considers the 27 miles of sugary white sands, accentuated by the bluish green jewel tones of the Gulf of Mexico water.

The new airport will be built on approximately 1,300 acres of a 4,000-acre site, so there is plenty of room to grow. Initially the airport will have seven gates and its main runway will be 8400 x 150 feet with a 105k square foot terminal. The completion of the airport will open the gate to the world for many to enjoy the same phenomenal quality of life which encourages healthy outdoor activity whether it is sports, boating, diving, a lazy day laying on the beach or enjoying one of the several beautiful and spacious parks.

Frank Brown Park features ball fields of all sorts (soccer, softball, baseball, indoor and outdoor basketball, and tennis) a huge children’s playground, equestrian area, a multimillion dollar Olympic size pool, splash pool for kids, slides, diving boards, fish-stocked ponds and nature trails. 

St Andrews Park has over 1.5 miles of beach, great areas to snorkel and scuba dive, picnic pavilions, fishing piers, boat ramps and parking, places for camping and one of the most well equipped RV parks for travelers wanting to enjoy the Bay and beach.

Pier Park now features Simon Property Group’s retail and entertainment lifestyle center which has over 900,000 square feet of shopping, theater, restaurants and clubs. Throughout the summer Pier Park hosts some of the most enjoyable bands from the region where you can bring the whole family, including the four legged ones! Bring your lawn chairs, coolers and grills and enjoy the music while visiting with your friends and neighbors.

With a population of about 29k on the island, many of whom are second home owners, there is plenty of room to grow yet enough folks to meet whether you want to play golf on one of our six golf courses or matriculate at the nearby Gulf Coast Community College or the satellite campus of Florida State University.
